Rosalyn Skipper Sales of Perdue Hill, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, leadership, and deep love for her family and community. She was 61.
Rosalyn was a graduate of Sparta Academy and later studied at Auburn University. She dedicated her professional life to economic growth and community advancement, most recently serving as Executive Director of Economic Development at CMC Gas for Clarke and Washington Counties. In this role, she was widely respected for her leadership, vision, and commitment to serving others.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm., Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Cope-Keahey Chapel. Bro. Allen Robinson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Skipper Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Cope-Keahey directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lavaghn and Jackie Skipper, and her beloved grandchild, Dillon.
Rosalyn is survived by her loving husband, Johnny Sales; her children, Johnathan Sales, Jenny Sales, Wes Sales and his wife, Catie, and Stephanie Sales and her husband, Tim. She is also survived by her siblings, Andy Skipper, Tim Skipper, and Sam Skipper.
She leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride in her life.
Rosalyn will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family, her work, and her community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her
Rosalyn Sales: Professional Career
Graduate of Auburn University. Majored in communications.
She directed the Economic Development efforts in Evergreen and Conecuh County in the early 1990’s. She was the primary and very successful fund raiser for Pilots for Christ for a number of years.
She returned to Economic Development in September 2020 as Director of Economic Development for Clarke Mobile Gas District (CMC). At CMC, Rosalyn was the lead contact and managed the Economic Development efforts in both Clarke and Washington Counties and their respective communities. During her six years, more than 300 new jobs were announced along with over $1 Billion in capital investment.
She was a member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA), as well as the Chair of the 2024 EDAA Winter Conference. She was an active participant in RurAL Alabama with the Alabama Department of Commerce, as well as the Alabama Forestry Association and Manufacture Alabama.
Rozz, as she liked to be called, was a breath of fresh air and enthusiasm in every room she entered and a perfect example of a “Steel Magnolia”.
